The countryside is the root of our traditional culture, an important part of our social structure, and an ideal home for our future return.

 

Mr. Liang Shuming put forward the general idea of "rural construction", believing that the core of rural construction lies in farmers' consciousness and rural organizations; Mr. Fei Xiaotong put forward the theory of "native China" to explore China's rural economy; There are many people of insight who are committed to rural development, and they are exhausted for the development of the vast rural areas. Because many villages form the vast China, to a certain extent, if the countryside is rich and developed, the country is rich and developed.

 

 

With the overall victory in poverty eradication, rural development and revitalization have become the focus of attention. In the era of Liang Shuming and Fei Xiaotong, the core problem that needs to be solved in Chinese rural areas is the problem of food and clothing. Now that farmers are rich, they are no longer worried about food and clothing, and how to improve the quality of life has become a new problem.

 

 

We interviewed Mr. Zhou Jianpeng, a practitioner and researcher of rejuvenating the countryside with art. As a postdoctoral fellow of Peking University, a "ascetic monk" style painter, he traveled from his hometown Zhejiang to Beijing, and then to the northwest of the motherland, trekked the Silk Road, and also traveled to European countries. Now he settled in Dali as a professor of Dali University and President of the western Yunnan Institute of national art.

 

 

 

His footprints did not stop, just like the paintbrush in his hand; He did not stop exploring the source of civilization, just as he knew himself. He quoted an analogy: human wisdom has three "Sons" and one "daughter", three "Sons" are technology, religion and philosophy, and one "daughter" is art. Art brings people beauty and spiritual enjoyment.

 

 

 

He said that art has opened a window to beauty for us, allowing beauty to enter the revitalization of the countryside and the lives of ordinary people. It is the most economical, affordable and long-term. In exploring how to make "beauty" enter the countryside and revitalize the countryside, he has done a lot of pilot projects across the country, with some wonderful stories and some achievements.

 

 

Now he has joined hands with colleges and universities, the government, and Chinese and Western artists to carry out pilot projects in Zhonghe village in Dali to listen to his ideas and interesting stories.
