On February 9, 2019, "the first season of the Yearbook exhibition of Chinese green landscape painting (2018-2019)" was held as scheduled in Nanxi academy, Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province.

 

 

"Yearbook of Chinese green landscape painting" series exhibition is a high-quality academic exhibition project initiated and planned by Zhou Jianpeng, a doctor of Tsinghua University, a postdoctoral fellow of Peking University and a landscape painter.

 

 

Dr. Zhou is good at painting green landscapes and is familiar with the history of Chinese painting. He was keenly aware of the importance of recording the situation of contemporary painting from the evolution of ancient green landscape painting.

 

 

 

To this end, he plans to implement the "Yearbook of Chinese green landscape painting" project and select some representative green landscape paintings every year to show how this kind of painting continues the tradition and absorbs the nutrients of modern art.

 

 

 

In order to ensure the academic quality of the Yearbook, Mr. Shao Dazhen, Mr. Ke Wenhui, Mr. Liu Xilin, Mr. Cheng Dali, Mr. Ding Ning and Mr. Wang Luxiang are specially hired as consultants.

 

 

The artists participating in the exhibition in the first quarter are: Zhang Ruyuan, Qi Enjin, Zhang Jigang, Shi Yongchao, Liu Yanshui, Ren Daqing, Li Yong，Liu longyao，Sheng Wenjin，Shen Yiqun，Liu Xu，Jilu， Fu Jihong，Li Yuelin，Geng Shan，Wang Qiuyan，Wu Jianfu，Chen Duan，Zhou Jianpeng，Wang suliu，Zhai Mingshuai，Guo Huawei，Ren Sai，Longwei

 

 

From this list, we can see that the planner pays attention to both the age span of painters and the persity of styles.

 

 

 

In addition, the styles of the works are also relatively rich, including not only huge works, but also exquisite fan and small group paintings.

 

 

 

The venue of this exhibition is Nanxi Academy in Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province. There are two main reasons:

 

First, Yongjia has unique geographical characteristics. With overlapping peaks and mountains and crisscross fields, it is very similar to beizong landscape painting.

 

 

The Zhouqiao islands and the steaming clouds and water are like one with the Nanzong mountains and rivers. This is the best place to experience the similarities and differences between the real scene of nature and the wonderful scene of landscape painting.

 

 

Second, Hesheng Town, Yongjia, where Nanxi academy is located, is a national art village demonstration site and a base for the revival of traditional culture.

 

During the Spring Festival, Wenzhou Overseas Chinese all over the world and Wenzhou personnel all over the country will return home to visit their relatives. This exhibition will help them have an in-depth understanding of our country's traditional art.

 

 

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Dr. Zhou Jianpeng introduced the development of green landscape painting and demonstrated the use of mineral pigments.

 

 

Dai Chunguang, director of Wenzhou Nanxi River Scenic Tourism Management Committee, explained the planning of Nanxi River Tourism from the perspective of the combination of culture and tourism.

 

He believes that the current tourism of Nanxi River is version 1.0. The art exhibitions and activities of Nanxi academy have improved the combination of culture and tourism of Nanxi River, making the tourism of Nanxi River close to version 2.0. The future cultural industrialization is the version 3.0 expected by Nanxi River tourism.

 

 

Wang Changjiang, Secretary of the Party committee of Hesheng Town, evaluated the significance of the exhibition activities of Nanxi academy to the construction of urban art from the perspective of building a famous cultural and tourism town of Hesheng.

 

 

Relevant leaders at the municipal and county levels attending the opening ceremony of the exhibition also included:

It is reported that the exhibition will last until May 9, during which four art salons will be held, including special lectures on the history of green landscape painting, training on green landscape painting techniques, auction and collection, etc.

 

At the end of the year, the first season of the Yearbook of Chinese green landscape painting will be published, so that this exhibition and relevant academic thinking can be presented in detail on paper.
