From October 8 to 15, 2017, after the "Hengshan School", the "Yongjia School – Xiang Thinking and Chinese Landscape Painting" was held in Ruoxi Villa on the Bank of Nanxi River in Yongjia, Zhejiang Province.

The seminar was organized by Mr. Cheng Dali, the librarian of the Central Library of Culture and History and vice president of the Chinese Painting Society. The experts and scholars included Shao Dazhen, Wu Yi, Ke Wenhui, Liu Xilin, Cheng Dali, Longrui, Wang Luxiang, Zhang Jigang, Xi Jingzhi, Shen Ronger, Hai Weilan and Wenzhou calligrapher painter Zhang Ruyuan.   

Based on Xie Lingyun's landscape poems and Yongjia's landscape poems, experts and scholars closely discussed the "Xiang thinking" proposed by the famous traveling artist Mr. Wu Yi. Especially on the topics of "Xiang thinking and Chinese landscape painting", "Xiang shape theory of ancient Chinese painting theory", "the origin of Xiang", Zong Bing "Huai cheng taste image and Xiang thinking", they made a thorough analysis one by one.

Experts and scholars at the meeting made great efforts to clarify the connotation and meaning of "Xiang thinking", and the relationship between "Xiang thinking" and landscape painting creation, they also tried to clarify the unique role of "Xiang thinking" in understanding Chinese landscape painting, and to seek the source of "Xiang thinking". The meeting took the form of theme speech and free talk, which made the discussion lively and free. Experts and scholars at the meeting agreed that through seven days of intense and pleasant discussions, rich academic progress have been made, which will have a profound impact on the inheritance and creation of Chinese landscape painting, especially on the great revival of Chinese national culture and the establishment of national self-confidence.
