China is a great country with 5000 years of culture. Wenzhou is the center of Ouyue culture. It is also the birthplace of Chinese landscape poetry. The clouds and shadow of Mount Yan, the tides of Ou sea, scenic spots of Nanxi, sceneries of hundreds of islands, rock sceneries of Yucang, waterfall with the length of hundreds of meters, the village-style customs, radon spring of Chengtian, all these have bred the brilliant Ouyue culture.

Wenzhou's geography and tourist attractions are numerous. Guo Xi, a painter of the Song Dynasty, said, "There are many beautiful mountains in the southeast", referring to Yandang Mountain. Huang Binhong, Pan Tianshou, Lu Yanshao and many people, who have sketched in this place for years, and a large number of classics affecting the history of fine arts have emerged. Wenzhou has a rich variety of mountains and rivers. In addition to Yandang Mountain's wonderful scenery, Wang Zengqi, a well-known contemporary writer, once said loudly: "I can declare to the whole world responsibly that Nanxi River is beautiful!" This refers to Nanxi River, which is the same mountain range of Cangshan as Yandang. This is the birthplace of landscape poem, southern classical opera and farming-reading culture.

The most beautiful internationa landscape sketch Base of Wenzhou has many sketch points, such as Ruoxi Art Village, Nanxi Academy of Shiweiyan, Yandang Mountain and Baizhangji of Wencheng. It is an integrated architectural community that has art galleries, museums, artists’ studios and artists' sketch bases. The main goals are to build the pilot site in Wenzhou for the rejuvenation of Chinese traditional culture; the practice and research center of Chinese traditional painting; and the research center of Yongjia School. The main coverage includes: Chinese traditional culture forum, academic research; art exhibition and art management; College sketching teaching, artist sketching base; agricultural and sideline products, art derivatives development. The main building area of Nanxi Academy is about 4000 square meters, including galleries, libraries, conference halls, collection rooms, exhibition rooms, viewing platforms, artist studios, artist restaurants, etc. Nanxi Academy adopts Chinese simple design style with advanced supporting facilities and perfect team building. It is one of the important representatives of China's rural art gallery. Its exhibition hall covers an area of about 800 square meters, with 50 rooms and 100 beds in the sketch reception building. At present, there are six buildings in Zhuoxi Jingshe Sketch Base, about 80 rooms, more than 120 beds, which can accommodate about 200 people in a group. The sketch site is very close to the residential area, and the surrounding area of the base is full of sceneries. After a few minutes’ walk, you can choose the scenery to create: Pengxi, Furong old Village, Lishui Street, Cangpo old Village, Yongle old Road and so on.
