Shangrichuan art village is located in the middle reaches of Nanxi River. Yannan highway passes through the village. At the entrance of the village is the beautiful Nanxi River. The famous Yongle ancient road is located here. The reconstruction of the art village was initially led by Zhou Jianpeng, a postdoctoral fellow of the school of art of Peking University, Zhou jianmeng, his brother, and Zhou Zhoutian, Zhou Song, Rural elites. Before the reconstruction, the village environment was dirty and poor, there were many open-air latrines, many disorderly buildings and sheds, littering, sewage discharge and poor environment, The village environmental assessment ranks last for many years. Initiated by Zhou Jianpeng, many international and domestic high-end art exchange activities such as "Yongjia on Taoism", "when Paris meets Wenzhou", "when London meets Wenzhou" and so on have taken the opportunity to comprehensively improve and transform the village environment with the support of county, town, village and other government departments, dismantle latrines, remove garbage, plant greening, and carry out artistic transformation of the village, which has greatly improved the appearance of the village. The improvement of the environment has attracted international artists to come here for exchanges and activities. Teachers and students of major art academies across the country come to sketch and collect styles. Now the village is positioned as an international art village. The positioning of the international art village cannot just stay on the slogan. The art village will carry out a series of upgrading and transformation of the soft environment and hard environment of the village.

Ruoxi International Art Village Development Plan

 

1.Artists will be stationed in the village. Three to five international and domestic artists will be introduced to the village every year and artist studios will be established.

 

Ruoxi international art village has well-known artists from Britain, France and China settled in the village and won the title of honorary villager.

 

 

 

 

 

2.Connect with China Academy of fine arts, Central Academy of fine arts and other institutions,transform the facade of village houses, guide villagers to open art hotels, and increase villagers' employment and income.

 

 

 

 

3.The development goal is to locate the art trading center and distribution center in Yongjia and even Wenzhou, and the villagers set up cultural and creative shops such as four treasures of study.
