On the morning of October 22, 2022, the tour exhibition (Jinan Station) of the youth art exchange works of the member cities of the "Capital of East Asian Culture", co sponsored by Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, China Cultural Center in Tokyo and China Cultural Center in Seoul, was successfully opened in Shandong News Art Museum. On the opening day, the activity was synchronized and linked by online live broadcast. The activity attracted the attention of Shandong art experts and scholars, teachers and students from major professional colleges and universities in Jinan, CCTV painting and calligraphy channels and major media in Jinan. The number of people watching the live broadcast online exceeded 80000.

Wenzhou and Jinan are brother cities that won the title of 2022 "Capital of East Asian Culture" in the same year, both of which have profound historical and cultural heritage. This exhibition tour is a profound collision in the art field between the two cities. At the launching ceremony of the event, Zhu Yunhua, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and director of the Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, sent a congratulatory letter, giving high expectations to the event, hoping that the event would be actively supported and widely disseminated by Jinan citizens, and that each exchange would become an opportunity to promote dialogue and expand consensus between the two cities. Experts, scholars and authors of some award-winning works from all walks of life also held thematic symposiums to discuss in depth "art and international exchanges", "how to better carry out mutual learning and appreciation of East Asian cultures", "how to carry out artistic and cultural exchanges between East Asian cultural cities", etc. The symposium was chaired by Zhi Yingqi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Shandong Dazhong Newspaper Group and Vice Chairman of Shandong Literature and Art Critics Association.

On behalf of Shandong Artists Association, the chairman of Shandong Artists Association extended a warm welcome to this exhibition tour and put forward his thoughts on how to make art truly serve the people, the city and the society. Sun Xiaona, associate professor of the School of Public Education of Shandong Academy of Arts, said: through the tour, we can see that the participating artists have made contemporary thinking and innovative exploration with tradition as the thick soil and cultural exchanges and mutual learning as a new perspective. The theme exhibition of "mutual learning and appreciation of arts to promote cultural exchange and integration" in Wenzhou is very meaningful. I hope that with the promotion of this activity, artists' innovative development will have a better and brilliant future.

The works of this exhibition tour include the award-winning works of the "East Asian Cultural City" member city youth art sketch creation competition, the works of outstanding young teachers and students of Wenzhou colleges and universities, and the works of outstanding young teachers and students of Jinan colleges and universities, involving many art categories such as Chinese painting, oil painting, watercolor painting, printmaking, lacquer painting, and comprehensive materials, and a total of 70 outstanding works. The exhibition will last until October 31, 2022.
